The Rose and Crown Public House and Restaurant is a Free House situated in the heart of the village of Ashdon, surrounded by the beautiful North Essex countryside and close to the market town of Saffron Walden, only a ten-minute drive.
The Rose and Crown combines the best of British pub hospitality with individuality, character and charm, excellent food and local wines, beers and craft ales. It is the perfect setting for a laid back yet distinctly memorable dining and drinking experience. For those of you driving, we have an excellent range of non-alcoholic drinks, beers and mixers.

Job Positions:
Kitchen, Bar, and Waiting Staff Availability: Evenings and Weekends (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday) Experience: Preferred but not essential
At The Rose & Crown, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences with a menu that showcases the best of local produce.
As a member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our culinary creations, work behind the bar serving refreshing drinks, and provide outstanding service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes in the kitchen Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas Supporting the kitchen team and bartenders during busy service periods Taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the dining area The rate of pay will depend on your experience, ensuring that your skills are recognized and valued.
What we’re looking for:
A love for food, beverages, and hospitality Previous experience in a kitchen, bar, or waiting role is preferred but not essential Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
